Let’s explore the world of Free Open Source Software (FOSS) and how to contribute to it!

Meet the PyLadies Amsterdam core team and join the OSS Sprint and/or try out their workshops. This event is for you: Python software engineer, Python enthusiast, data engineer, MLOps engineer, machine learning engineer, AI engineer, data scientist, data analyst.

It’s no secret that FOSS makes the world go round. Every company and every individual relies on it in some way or another. And holding up the global economy is not easy! It all depends on creative contributors like yourself.

Whether you want to make your CV stand out as a FOSS contributor, gain new skills, find meaning in giving back to the community or simply help others build a cool 😎 solution, PyLadies has got your back!

Together we’ll look at how to find problems that interest you and how to take a stab at them. Skill level? No worries! Most projects need documentation writers just as urgently as they need bugfixers or amazing new features. And many have specially curated beginner issues!

Join PyLadies Amsterdam at PyCon NL to learn:

• why FOSS matters
• how to find issues to solve
• how to communicate with other contributors

And who knows, maybe you’ll be making your very first contribution!

The OSS Sprint runs from 10:45 to 12:35 in the Flash room. Outside the sprint, you can meet PyLadies Amsterdam and join their workshops at the Community booth (S1-S2) from 09:30 to 10:45 and from 12:35 to 17:05.
